The Clyde Fliers (Clyde, OH) baseball got by the visiting Elyria Catholic Panthers (Elyria, OH), 9-8 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Fliers now own a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they host Sandusky for a Sandusky Bay - Lake challenge on Friday, May 2. Clyde will clash with a Blue Streaks team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Perkins (Sandusky, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 10-9.
With the defeat, Elyria Catholic drops to 2-12 on the year. The Panthers travel to Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH) to clash with the Green Wave in a Crown challenge on Monday, May 5. The Green Wave go into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Holy Name lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (Chardon, OH)
