New Mexico High School Baseball - Da Vinci edges Cobre

In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Da Vinci Dragons baseball team scored a close 9-7 victory over the Cobre Indians.
The Dragons (10-16) will now prepare for their game against Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 28-6 record. In their last game, Cornerstone Christian held off San Antonio HomeSchool (San Antonio, TX), 7-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Indians face the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) in a 3A District 3 game, on Saturday, May 3. Cobre will attempt to improve on its 16-8 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 10-13 record after their 14-4 league loss to Cobre (Bayard, NM).
