Virginia High School Baseball - Grassfield holds off Western Branch

May 1, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23323

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), saw Grassfield's baseball team gain a win over Western Branch by a tally of 7-3.

The Grizzlies (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers enter the Southeastern battle with a 8-6 record. In their last battle, Oscar Smith held off King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 13-5, in a league battle.

Next, the Bruins face the Highland Hawks (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 3. Western Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 23-5 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Potomac School (McLean, VA).
