Virginia High School Baseball - Great Bridge sneaks past Lakeland

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), saw Great Bridge's baseball team get by Lakeland by a tally of 2-1.
The Wildcats (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves enter the Southeastern battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Indian River was tipped by Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA), 10-9, in a league battle.
Next, the Cavaliers face the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 9-5 record after their 28-0 league win over Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
