The Greenhills Gryphons baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Renaissance Phoenix to 8 in the Gryphons non-league win on Thursday.

The Gryphons now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they host Shrine Catholic for a Catholic C-D C test on Saturday, May 3. Greenhills will clash with a Knights team coming off a 13-5 non-league win over Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI). The Knights record now stands at 10-3.

With the defeat, Renaissance drops to 9-4 on the year. The Phoenix host Western International (Detroit, MI) to clash with the Cowboys in a Detroit Public - Southwest test on Friday, May 2. The Cowboys go into the test with a record of 13-5. Western International 1-1 in their recent non-league test against Stevenson (Livonia, MI)
