Maryland High School Baseball - Northern defeats McDonough

May 1, 2025: Pomfret, MD 20675

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) and the host McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), saw Northern's baseball team gain a win over McDonough by a tally of 8-2.

The Patriots (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Cavaliers enter the Southern Maryland battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, Calvert held off Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD), 20-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Rams face the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland battle, on Friday, May 2. McDonough will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a 13-3 record after their 8-4 league win over Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
