Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team nudge the host Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN), 9-8 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Simley advances its record to 2-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Hastings (Hastings, MN) to play the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, May 2. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 0-3. Hastings lost 23-2 in their recent non-league game against Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN)

The Cougars now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andover for a non-league game on Monday, May 5. Centennial will play a Huskies team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, WI). The Huskies record now stands at 1-3.
