In Thursday's league outing, the host Hickory Hawks soccer squad scored a tight 7-0 victory over the Deep Creek Hornets.

The Hawks (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Southeastern outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Lakeland was overwhelmed by Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Hornets confront the Lake Taylor Titans (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, May 5. Deep Creek will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Titans go into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA).
