In Thursday's league outing, the host Romeoville Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Joliet Central Steelmen.

The Spartans (7-9) will now prepare for their outing against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats go into the Suburban Prairie outing with a 12-3 record. In their last outing, Plainfield Central got by Aurora East (Aurora, IL), 4-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Steelmen play the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) in a non-league outing, on Monday, May 5. Joliet Central will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Astros go into the outing with a 3-14 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Joliet West (Joliet, IL).
