The Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) baseball the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), 4-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Radford for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 2. Patrick County will clash with a Bobcats team coming off a 18-4 non-league loss to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-5.
