The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) baseball got by the host Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI), 9-8 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Chieftains now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Warwick for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 10.
With the defeat, Lincoln drops to 0-1 on the year. The Lions host Cumberland (Cumberland, RI) to clash with the Clippers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 2. The Clippers go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Cumberland won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Cranston East (Cranston, RI)
