Trigg County Wildcats (Cadiz, KY) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Murray Tigers (Murray, KY), 9-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Trigg County upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The Wildcats host Caldwell County (Princeton, KY) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Monday, May 5. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 2-2.

The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Webster County for a non-league game on Saturday, May 3. Murray will play a Trojans squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Hopkins County Central (Madisonville, KY). The Trojans record now stands at 4-6.
