In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Big Walnut Golden Eagles lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-3 triumph over the Newark Wildcats.

The Golden Eagles (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH). The Jaguars go into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Hilliard Bradley was overwhelmed by Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, OH), 16-4, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Pickerington Central Tigers (Pickerington, OH) in a Region 3 challenge, on Monday, May 5. Newark will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 13-1 league win over Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH).
