Fans at Thursday's league test between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), witnessed Springfield's lacrosse squad top Marple Newtown by a count of 17-8.

The Cougars (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA). The Jaguars enter the Central test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Garnet Valley thwarted Harriton (Rosemont, PA), 13-5, in a league test.

Next, the Fightin' Tigers battle the Conestoga Pioneers (Berwyn, PA) in a Central test, on Tuesday, May 6. Marple Newtown will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Pioneers enter the test with a 7-6 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA).
