Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) and the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC), witnessed North Davidson's lacrosse squad hold off Southwest Guilford by a count of 7-6.

The Black Knights (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Cardinals enter the Mid-State/Mid Piedmont/NW Piedmont contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Cornerstone Charter nipped Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 12-10, in a league contest.

Next, the Cowboys meet the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro contest, on Friday, May 2. Southwest Guilford will attempt to move on its 2-16 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 15-4 record after their 20-1 league win over Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC).
