In Thursday's league challenge, the host Salem Spartans lacrosse squad scored a good 22-2 triumph over the Rockbridge County Wildcats.

The Spartans (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Titans go into the River Ridge challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Hidden Valley was overwhelmed by William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 14-5, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a River Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Rockbridge County will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Blue Demons go into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 16-3 league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA).
