Fans at Thursday's league contest between the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) and the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), witnessed West Potomac's lacrosse squad top West Springfield by a count of 11-2.

The Wolverines (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Titans enter the Patriot contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Alexandria City was overwhelmed by Woodson (Fairfax, VA), 8-6, in a league contest.

Next, the Spartans meet the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 3. West Springfield will attempt to move on its 0-10 season record. The Hawks enter the contest with a 8-4 record after their 19-5 league win over Lewis (Springfield, VA).
