The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Beulah Miners (Beulah, ND) and the host Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] Cougars (Belfield, ND), observed Beulah's softball team notch a victory over Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] by a final score of 13-1.
The Miners (14-5) will now prepare for their bout against Hazen (Hazen, ND). The Bison go into the Class B - Region 4 bout with a 4-8 record. In their last bout, Hazen gained a win over Turtle Lake-Mercer (Turtle Lake, ND), 7-5, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Garrison Troopers (Garrison, ND) in a Class B - Region 4 bout, on Monday, May 12. Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record.
