In Thursday's non-league test, the Chester Hambletonians (Chester, NY) softball squad got by the visiting Tri-Valley Bears (Grahamsville, NY), by a tally of 9-8.

Next, the Hambletonians meet the Sullivan West Bulldogs (Lake Huntington, NY) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 2. Chester will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 3-1 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY).

The Bears (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Eldred (Eldred, NY). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Eldred held off Livingston Manor (Livingston Manor, NY), 14-2, in a league test.
