The Sedro-Woolley Cubs softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers to 0 in the Cubs league win on Thursday.
The Cubs now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Garfield for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Sedro-Woolley will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 22-12 league win over Bishop Blanchet (Seattle, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-3.
With the loss, Mt. Baker moves to 11-8 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to confront the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle on Friday, May 2. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 9-6. Burlington-Edison won 5-4 in their recent league battle against Blaine (Blaine, WA)
