The South Putnam Eagles (Greencastle, IN) softball the visiting Sullivan Golden Arrows (Sullivan, IN), 8-5 in Thursday's league outing.

The Eagles now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Central for a non-league outing on Friday, May 2. South Putnam will meet a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 16-3 non-league loss to Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-11.

The Golden Arrows (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Northview (Brazil, IN). The Knights go into the Western Indiana challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, Northview held off North Putnam (Roachdale, IN), 2-0, in a league challenge.
