West Virginia High School Baseball - Webster County edges Mount View

May 1, 2026: Upper Glade, WV 26206

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) and the visiting Mount View Golden Knights (Welch, WV), saw Webster County's baseball team gain a win over Mount View by a tally of 4-1.

The Highlanders (10-10) will now prepare for their battle against Richwood (Richwood, WV). The Lumberjacks enter the non-league battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Richwood held off Mount Hope Christian Academy (Mount Hope, WV), 8-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Golden Knights face the Grundy Wave Man (Grundy, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 5. Mount View will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Wave Man enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 13-3 league win over Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA).
