The Burlington Cougars baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Las Animas Trojans to 2 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars (13-5) will now prepare for their match against Colby (Colby, KS). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 6-13 record. In their last match, Colby was overwhelmed by Holcomb (Holcomb, KS), 15-3, in a league match.
The Trojans (10-9) will now prepare for their match against John Mall (Walsenburg, CO). The Panthers go into the 2A/1A Santa Fe match with a 2-16 record. In their last match, John Mall was overwhelmed by Fowler (Fowler, CO), 16-1, in a league match.
