North Carolina High School Baseball - Wakefield defeats Laney

May 10, 2022: Wilmington, NC 28405

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) and the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), saw Wakefield's baseball squad beat Laney by a margin of 6-1.

Coming up next, the Wolverines play the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 13. Wakefield will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 19-4 record after their 14-2 non-league win over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC).

The Buccaneers now sport a 11-10 record.
