Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 1-0 record.
With the loss, Yreka falls to 17-9 on the campaign. The Miners host North Medford (Medford, OR) to battle the Black Tornado in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Black Tornado enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
