The Alexander Central Cougars softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Cox Mill Chargers to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Alexander Central moves its record to 23-2 on the year. The Cougars host Weddington (Matthews, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, May 12. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 15-8. Weddington won 7-6 in their recent non-league game against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
