Licking Heights Hornets (Pataskala, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bishop Watterson Eagles (Columbus, OH), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Hornets now sport a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Licking Heights will face a Golden Lions squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Pickerington North (Pickerington, OH). The Golden Lions record now stands at 22-2.
With the loss, Bishop Watterson falls to 12-6 on the campaign.
