Concord Yellowjackets (Concord, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Union City Chargers (Union City, MI), 20-0 in a league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Hancock for a Western Peninsula challenge on Friday, May 13. Concord will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Union City falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers host St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to battle the Fighting Tigers in a Southern Central challenge on Thursday, May 19. The Fighting Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
