The North Vermillion Falcons softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Hoopeston Cornjerkers to 5 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, North Vermillion improves its record to 9-9 on the year. The Falcons travel to Parke Heritage (Rockville, IN) to clash with the Wolves in a Wabash River game on Wednesday, May 11. The Wolves come into the game with a record of 6-11. Parke Heritage lost 9-4 in their recent league game against Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN)

In their next game, the Cornjerkers clash with the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 12. Hoopeston will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Sabers come into the game with a 2-13 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Heritage (Broadlands, IL).
