Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Ironmen now own a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they host Olympia for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Normal Community will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 20-4.

With the loss, Peoria falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Lions host Manual (Peoria, IL) to battle the Rams in a Big Twelve challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Manual lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Normal West (Normal, IL)
