In Wednesday's non-league contest, the St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) volleyball squad edged the visiting Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA), by a margin of 3-2.
Next up, the Pioneers battle the Boston College High Eagles (Boston, MA) in a Catholic contest, on Friday, May 19. St. John's will attempt to better on its 13-2 season record.
With the loss, Newton North drops to 10-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Natick (Natick, MA) to battle the Redhawks in a Bay State contest on Thursday, May 11. The Redhawks come into the contest with a record of 9-1.
