Connecticut High School Volleyball - Oxford over Xavier

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) and the visiting Xavier Falcons (Middletown, CT), saw Oxford's volleyball squad beat Xavier by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Newtown (Newtown, CT) to play the Nighthawks in a South-West bout on Thursday, May 11. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Newtown won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Brookfield (Brookfield, CT)

The Falcons now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Amity Regional for a bout on Friday, May 12. Xavier will play a Spartans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Hand (Madison, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 8-7.
