New Mexico High School Softball - Cobre bounces Navajo Prep

Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Fe Indian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. Cobre will face a Braves squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM). The Braves record now stands at 23-1.

With the loss, Navajo Prep falls to 19-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM) to face the Dons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 9-12. West Las Vegas lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM)
