Virginia High School Softball - Hampton loses to Surry County

The Surry County Cougars softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Hampton Crabbers to 11 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Surry County moves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Sussex Central (Sussex, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a Tri-Rivers game on Thursday, May 11. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 3-9. Sussex Central won 8-2 in their recent league game against Franklin (Franklin, VA)
In their next game, the Crabbers clash with the Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula game, on Thursday, May 11. Hampton will attempt to move on its 2-14 season record. The Hurricanes come into the game with a 1-15 record after their 18-7 league loss to Hampton (Hampton, VA).
