The Naugatuck Greyhounds softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders to 2 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Naugatuck improves its record to 12-6 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Pomperaug (Southbury, CT) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, May 12. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 11-6. Pomperaug lost 8-5 in their recent non-league game against Masuk (Monroe, CT)

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Kennedy Eagles (Waterbury, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass game, on Friday, May 12. Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record.
