The Southern Indians routed the visiting Maplewood Rockets softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Indians (12-7) will now prepare for their battle against Chalker (Southington, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Chalker topped St. John (Ashtabula, OH), 16-0, in a non-league battle.

The Rockets now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Mathews for a Northeastern Athletic battle on Thursday, May 11. Maplewood will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Lordstown (Warren, OH). The Mustangs record now stands at 18-5.
