The Mattoon Greenwave softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Monticello Sages to 4 in the Greenwave non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Mattoon improves its record to 13-14 on the year. The Greenwave host Terre Haute North Vigo (Terre Haute, IN) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league game on Thursday, May 11. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 8-11. Terre Haute North Vigo won 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Greencastle (Greencastle, IN)
In their next game, the Sages clash with the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 15. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record.
