The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) and the host South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN), saw New Prairie's softball squad achieve victory over South Bend Riley by a count of 8-0.

The Cougars now sport a 23-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lakeshore for a non-league match on Thursday, May 11. New Prairie will face a Lancers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN). The Lancers record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, South Bend Riley falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bremen (Bremen, IN) to face the Lions in a Northern Indiana match on Thursday, May 11. The Lions enter the match with a record of 8-10. Bremen won 11-3 in their recent league match against Elkhart (Elkhart, IN)
