Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host GlenOak for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. Chardon will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Ellet (Akron, OH). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Mathews falls to 19-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Badger (Kinsman, OH) to face the Braves in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 10-8. Badger won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against East Palestine (East Palestine, OH)
