Covenant Christian Chargers (Grand Rapids, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kent City Eagles (Kent City, MI), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Pewamo-Westphalia for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. Covenant Christian will face a Pirates squad coming off a 10-3 league loss to Laingsburg (Laingsburg, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Kent City falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pine River Area (Leroy, MI) to face the Bucks in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Bucks enter the challenge with a record of 2-3.
