New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Eastern Hancock Royals (Charlottesville, IN), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 17-1 record. They take the field next when they host Munster for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. New Palestine will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Highland (Highland, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-7.

With the loss, Eastern Hancock falls to 16-2 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Hagerstown lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Shenandoah (Middletown, IN)
