Liberty-Benton Eagles (Findlay, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elida Bulldogs (Elida, OH), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 19-4 record. They take the field next when they host Napoleon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. Liberty-Benton will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Memorial (St. Marys, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-9.
With the loss, Elida falls to 8-7 on the campaign.
