Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 16-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Moline United for a Western Big 6 challenge on Monday, May 13. Moline will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 18-11.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish clash with the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 10. Seneca will attempt to move on its 30-2 season record. The Chargers come into the game with a 7-17 record after their 19-13 league loss to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL).
