Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 23-2 record.

With the loss, South View falls to 19-5 on the campaign.

This game is a part of the 2024 NCHSAA Softball State Championship - 4A tournament
