St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Saints now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairmont for a South Central challenge on Tuesday, May 14. St. Peter will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Martin County West (Sherburn, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Stewartville falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Red Wing (Red Wing, MN) to face the Wingers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Wingers enter the challenge with a record of 7-9. Red Wing lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN)
