The Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) baseball trounced the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL), 9-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Fighting 59ers now own a 20-1 record. They take the field next when they host Zionsville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 10. Andrean will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-5 league win over Westfield (Westfield, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 11-6.
The Griffins (21-7) will now prepare for their outing against Zionsville (Zionsville, IN). The Eagles come into the non-league outing with a 11-6 record. In their last outing, Zionsville tipped Westfield (Westfield, IN), 11-5, in a league outing.
