In Saturday's non-league game, the host Leslie Blackhawks baseball team scored a close 7-4 victory over the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates.
The Blackhawks (8-9) will now prepare for their game against Homer (Homer, MI). The Trojans enter the Cascades game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Homer held off Springport (Springport, MI), 5-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Pirates face the Fowler Eagles (Fowler, MI) in a Central Michigan game, on Thursday, May 15. Pewamo-Westphalia will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 7-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to St. Patrick (Portland, MI).
