Illinois High School Baseball - Marshall County holds off Massac County

May 10, 2025: Metropolis, IL 62960

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) and the host Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL), saw Marshall County's baseball team gain a win over Massac County by a tally of 6-2.

The Marshals (18-9) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary (Paducah, KY). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, St. Mary was overwhelmed by McCracken County (Paducah, KY), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 13. Massac County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record.
