In Saturday's non-league game, the host Perkins Pirates baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the Swanton Bulldogs.
The Pirates (15-7) will now prepare for their game against Edison (Milan, OH). The Chargers go into the non-league game with a 19-1 record. In their last game, Edison nudged Western Reserve (Collins, OH), 12-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Bulldogs play the Northwood Rangers (Northwood, OH) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 12. Swanton will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Rangers go into the game with a 4-15 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Bowsher (Toledo, OH).
