The Sandburg Eagles triumphed over the host Plainfield East Bengals baseball squad by a score of 16-2 in Saturday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Eagles battle the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) in a Southwest Suburban outing, on Monday, May 12. Sandburg will attempt to advance on its 17-8 season record. The Vikings come into the outing with a 10-18 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Crown Point (Crown Point, IN).
The Bengals (7-20) will now prepare for their outing against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers come into the Southwest Prairie outing with a 12-15 record. In their last outing, Joliet West was overwhelmed by Romeoville (Romeoville, IL), 4-2, in a league outing.
